The Holger Blouse is knitted from the top down. The body is knitted with stripes, while the sleeves and neckline are knitted in a solid color in each color. First, the upper part of the back is knitted back and forth, and a shoulder slope is formed using shortened rows, while knitting stripes. Then the shoulders are knitted separately back and forth on a circular needle. These are then joined at the front to knit the front piece. The front piece and back are then joined to knit the body, which is knitted in the round on a circular needle with stripes. The sleeves are knitted from sts picked up along the armhole. The double-folded neckline of the neck is knitted last from sts picked up.

The Holger Blouse should have a range of motion (positive ease) of approx. 12 cm in relation to the bust measurement. Sizes 1-2 (2-3) 3-4 (4-5) 5-6 (6-7) 7-8 (8-9) 9-10 (10-11) 11-12 (12-14) years correspond to a bust measurement of approximately 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (75) 78 (82) cm. The measurements of the finished blouse are given on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the knitting tension is maintained). For example, if you/the recipient measures 62 cm around the bust, you should knit a size 6-7 years. A blouse in size 6-7 years has an upper width of 74 cm and will in the example given give a range of movement (positive ease) of 12 cm. If the measured bust size deviates from the age guide, you should pay attention to adjusting the length to the person you are knitting for. The same applies if the child is shorter/taller than average.
