1 Stranded Kid Mohair from Mohair by Canard
Mohair yarn of 65% kid mohair and 35% of the softest merino wool. The yarn is very light and has a running length of approx. 350 m / 50 grams and knit with needles 2 – 3 ½ mm.
Our 1 stranded kidmohair yarn is very popular for smaller items. Due to the long run length, you can knit or crochet large fantastic shawls etc. with just a few skeins. As the yarn is offered in many colours, you have the opportunity to create your very own color combinations by knitting together two threads in different colours.
The 1-strand yarn is also extremely suitable for mixing with other yarns, as the softness of the mohair comes through clearly if it is mixed with a slightly hard yarn. Even the lightest and thinnest shawl of this yarn provides good warmth without taking up much space.

The angora goats are cut twice a year either by hand or with machines. The animals are not harmed in any way in this process.
The mohair is sorted by length, fiber diameter and quality.
The wool is then washed, carded and brushed to ends, from where it is spun.
Dyeing of the yarn is done before or after it is spun, depending on which expression is desired in the finished yarn
